Sony Pictures announced at CinemaCon 2026 that it is developing a new R-rated animated movie adaptation of Bloodborne. It will also be co-financed by Lyrical Animation’s parent company, Lyrical Media. Additionally, Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group president Sanford Panitch stated that the film will be “very true” to the spirit of Bloodborne. Bloodborne originally launched on March 24, 2015, for PlayStation 4. Bloodborne details: Bloodborne is an action role-playing video game developed by FromSoftware and Sony Interactive Entertainment JAPAN Studio, and published…

Ever since I played Forza Horizon 5 back in 2021, it’s been my favorite racing game of all time. The over-the-top action, the tight controls, the expansive garage of vehicles, and, of course, the beautiful representation of Mexico all made me fall in love with Forza Horizon 5 – so much so that it’s tied for the highest review score I’ve awarded in my nearly 11 and a half years at Game Informer. So it stands to reason that I was thrilled to hear that Forza Horizon 6 was heading to my favorite real-world travel destination: Japan. I had the…
Last month, I visited Warframe developer Digital Extremes’ office in London, Ontario, of Canada, to hang out with the team behind Soulframe for a couple of days, interview its various discipline leads, and learn about this studio’s first game in nearly a decade. It was during those initial interviews that I learned Soulframe was a game Digital Extremes committed to making before asking its “corporate overlords,” which is Tencent, the Chinese-based megagiant publisher that acquired Leyou, the company that owned a majority stake in the developer. In the words of Digital Extremes CEO Steve Sinclair, the team begged for forgiveness (instead…
I’ve reviewed a few chairs in my time at PG, and in every case, they’re often workmanlike in their approach. Aside from some garish colour choices or the still-baffling inclusion of LED lights, they are predominantly for sitting in comfortably for long periods, and that’s pretty much it. Nothing more. Of course, that’s not bad, but it does make the DXRacer Martian Pro a little more exciting to, well, sit down with. As you’ve likely guessed, it goes beyond being a place to park it while gaming or working remotely. With built-in massager, heating, and cooling, it’s sitting around with…
Do you think dragons are inherently evil? And how do you feel about physical toys manifesting as digital characters on your mobile device? I’m on time today to join Will and Chief Iwan in this week’s (New and Improved!) Pocket Gamer Podcast, where we dabble in existentialism with what’s villainous and what’s not. Iwan wastes absolutely no time in diving right into the dungeons of Dragon Ruins, which looks like a pretty hardcore dungeon-crawling adventure that’s out now on iOS and Android. There’s a lot to be said about the visuals that add to its distinct vibe – so much…
Aim projectiles to merge stuff together Clear levels to earn shiny coins Use the spoils to prettify your pixel cafe It’s all about merging coins to make tiramisu for some reason in this week’s Ahead of the Game series, where we tell you all about a new mobile endeavour that’s playable in one form or another despite its unofficial launch. There’s your average restaurant sim, and there’s your typical merge puzzler – it’s not every day that you see them joined together, but with Pixel Cafe, it’s exactly that and more. Honestly, when I first dove into this, I was…
Confetti, friends, paint and noisemakers; a sunset over the ocean after solving a series of puzzles. Big Walk is filled with little bits of interactivity, interspersed throughout a wide landmass of structures and mysteries. It is a world you want to trek across, stopping and pausing along the way, with a good group of friends.I spent some time exploring Big Walk in a preview session at publisher Panic’s Portland offices, as a preview of the team’s plans to eventually open the same playtest up to the public. After a brief introduction, I sat down at a computer terminal – complete…
Drinkbox Studios is commonly known as the team that brought us the Guacamelee series and Nobody Saves the World, but perhaps my favorite title in its catalogue is Severed, which originally released in 2016 on the PS Vita. While that game features fun touchscreen-based combat and an intriguing minimalist story, what stuck with me the most is its striking art style. As I walked up to the station where I’d spend the next 20 minutes playing Drinkbox’s latest game, Blighted, I immediately noticed echoes of that gorgeous Severed art style, even as the gameplay deviates from it.Vibrant, contrasting colors and…
