Featuring fun, approachable arcade-style racing gameplay and beautiful locales, the Forza Horizon series has been one of my favorite franchises since it left the starting line. The most recent entry, Forza Horizon 5, is my favorite racing game of all time, thanks in large part to its stunning re-creation of Mexico, full of diverse biomes and varied activities. While that is a tough act to follow, Forza Horizon 6’s Japan plays perfect host to the series’ next evolution, which moves the franchise forward without straying too far from the racing line.Forza Horizon 6 Video Review: True to the series pedigree, Forza…

When I started playing House Flipper 2, I knew that this game was not for me. Coming from JRPGs, Fighting Games, and Action Games, I can confidently say that I didn’t expect to enjoy this title. In the end, my skepticism only proves that this game is something else, cause I enjoyed my time with it. House Flipper 2 is a solid game that understands its niche. It performs its job with such passion that it can even appeal to someone who never considered trying it, like me. What to Expect From House Flipper 2 This is one of those…

When I first learned about InKonbini: One Store Many Stories, I figured it looked like a very relaxed life simulation about working in a Japanese convenience store, but now I realize it’s more an experience about the atmosphere and vibes. It’s more about the concept of it and the people who can show up around those late hours in the evenings and early hours of the day. It’s like a slice of life anime or manga! Of course, the downside means if you head into it hoping for more of those management elements, extended experiences, or even consequences, you’ll be…

The original Monster Crown felt designed to be difficult. Part of it ended up feeling intentional, such as with game balancing, the raising and breeding execution, and the gritty worldview. The number of experience-hampering bugs definitely was unintentional. Monster Crown: Sin Eater feels designed to remedy some of those things, due to an array of adjustments and smoother experience. The result is a Studio Aurum game that does feel stronger, but now feels a little frustrating in new ways.  Asur and his family are getting by, farming in Crown Nation. Life isn’t easy. In addition to the monsters roaming around,…

It’s common to see games, after launching all planned DLCs and losing popularity, release a discounted full version with all extra content. Fortunately, this is not what Granblue Versus Fantasy Rising is. A New But Familiar Adventure Although there are some balance decisions and system changes that may or may not have annoyed its player base, Granblue Versus Fantasy tried to do more than just feel like an expansion. It underwent a comprehensive balance and system overhaul, which made it feel like a new experience, something I appreciate. Image: Ac System Works As for everything else, the game is pretty…

In a world where most indie video games aren’t visually impressive, Ready or Not, by VOID Interactive, stands out as an ambitious project. Despite a few areas that could benefit from additional refinement, the game stands out as a robust and distinctive experience, potentially unrivaled in its particular niche. A Unique First-Person Shooter Image: Attack of the Fanboy Ready or Not has a very straightforward idea: it provides you with a good variety of missions for you and your friends to get in and try to complete their many objectives, such as arresting a suspect, collecting evidence, or saving all civilians. Your…

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an enjoyable hack-and-slash adventure that tries to break the mold by making New York a small scale open world. Not everything lands as well as developer Cortopia would hope, but it delivers the goods on pure fun and wish fulfillment. Some disclosures upfront: I am a lifelong Ninja Turtles fan. From the comics to the 1980s cartoon whose theme song I can still sing to this day to the spotty history of the films and Vanilla Ice’s hit “Ninja Rap.” This review is also the third time I’ve played the game. I played a demo…

One of my favorite video game series as a kid was Prince of Persia, specifically the 3D iterations such as Sands of Time and Warrior Within. I was skeptical when Ubisoft announced it would revive the long-lost franchise 14 years after the last main installment into a 2.5D side scroller, a formula similar to the older Prince of Persias of the 90s. After getting my hands on the new Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and playing through its 30-hour story, I can confidently say that I love Ubisoft’s direction here and genuinely hope we get a sequel with the…

Steam Controller (2026) specs: Connectivity: 2.4GHz wireless, USB-C, Bluetooth Weight: 292g Dimensions: 111x159x57mm Battery life: 35 hours Accessories: Charging puck, charging cable Price: From £85 / $99 / €99 Well, one out of three ain’t bad. The second-generation Steam Controller is upon us, the sole survivor of Valve’s delays on its RAM-troubled new hardware. “Go on without us,” the Steam Machine and Steam Frame VR headset presumably whispered to a reluctant Controller, which could only blink back tears of thumbstick lubricant as both were buried under the pile of money that it now takes to buy two DDR5 sticks. Still!…

Outerloop’s done interesting things with its games. So much so that even if there are some quirks to it, like Falcon Age, it can feel satisfying due to the story the team is trying to tell or the concept behind its gameplay. Following Thirsty Suitors, we their next RPG also explores familial relationships, culture, and cooking. The thing is that this time, some narrative and battle system decisions mean Dosa Diva doesn’t feel as unique, touching, and exciting. I feel like it honestly might have been better served up as a graphic novel or short animated series. Dosa Divas feels…
