Welcome to our latest roundup of what’s going on in the indie game space. As always, we’ve got a bunch of neat games to tell you about. Perhaps I’ll tear myself away from playing as Chappell Roan in Fortnite or Jetpack Cat in Overwatch long enough to check more of them out. Thanks to the folks at Aftermath, I learned about a short, text-based game from Woe Industries from a while back called You Have Billions Invested In Generative AI. Surprisingly enough, you take on the role of a venture capitalist who has plowed gobs of money into genAI technology and…
Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own. The first version of our financial app forced customers to fax a signup form in 2018. It worked. That experience taught me a lesson every founder eventually learns the hard way: early traction matters more than elegant systems. If you are waiting to build something polished before testing demand, you are probably waiting too long. This is the story of how an “ugly” MVP helped us validate trust, surface real customer behavior, and avoid the most common mistake that stalls early-stage companies—overbuilding before the market says yes. When faxing was a feature…

Photo by Getty Images | Published: Jan 29, 2026 06:00 pm Australia’s primary immigration detention contractor, Management and Training Corporation (MTC), is now playing a central role in President Donald Trump’s expanded Immigration and Customs Enforcement crackdown, prompting renewed scrutiny of the company’s record. The story gained traction when reported by The Guardian, which detailed MTC’s growing involvement in US immigration enforcement. Meta continues to field criticism over how it handles younger consumers using its platforms, but the company is also planning new products that will cater to them. On Monday, the company announced in a blog post that later this year it will be launching a new education product for Quest to position its VR headset as a go-to device for teaching in classrooms. The product is yet to be named, but in the blog post describing it, Nick Clegg, the company’s president of global affairs — the ex-politician who has become’s Meta’s executive most likely to be delivering messaging around…
Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own. Key Takeaways Why you still need mentorship later in life. There’s a quiet myth in leadership circles that once you reach a certain level of accomplishment, the need for mentorship fades. By the time you’re leading major initiatives or running large organizations, people assume you’ve accumulated enough wisdom to rely solely on your own experience. You become the mentor—surely not the mentee. Years ago, by most measures, I had already “arrived.” I had run a business school. I understood strategy, operations, culture-building, and fundraising. From the outside, I looked like someone who…
Digital twin platform Matterport has agreed to be acquired by one of its customers, CoStar, in a cash-and-stock deal of $5.50 per share that gives it an enterprise valuation of about $1.6 billion. Matterport’s tech helps companies create digital replicas of physical spaces. CoStar’s offer represents a premium of a whopping 212% over Matterport’s last closing share price before the deal was announced on April 22. The deal looks like a fortunate turn of events for Matterport, whose shares had been trading below the $5 mark since August 2022 as the company struggled to meet investors’ expectations for subscriber growth…
